Our staff
Ray Caudill is our Youth Minister. He felt called to Smith Valley Baptist Church after serving here for the summer months of 2009 as the Youth Ministry Intern, and was called by the church on August 30th, 2009. Stephanie Black, His Word Christian Academy Administrator has been with Smith Valley Baptist Church since January 2006. Her and her husband moved from South Florida to Nevada in 2002. Having relocated for her husband's occupation, Stephanie spent much time in prayer on what God would have her do in this Rural area. The idea of running a pre-school had been in her heart for several months. And though God did not call her to this ministry right away, he was preparing her several years before he placed it in her heart to act on this ministry. Travis Walker serves SVBC as Senior Pastor. Travis and his wife Summer felt called to Smith Valley in June of 2001 while serving New Hope Baptist Church in Corryton, Tennessee. In December of 2001, SVBC officially called them to serve as Pastor to Students. God allowed Archie and Becky Walker, Travis' parents, to begin SVBC in early 1996. After serving the church faithfully for eight years, Archie and Becky answered God's call to relocate to Vermont to begin a work there in August of 2004. After a transitional time, SVBC called Travis as Pastor in August 2005. Contact Travis at
